REPASO DEL PAST PERFECT

¿Sabes cómo se dice en inglés "Yo había comido" ?

Sí, sí exactamente: I had eaten. 


Este tiempo verbal se llama en inglés "Past Perfect".

Estructura: Sujeto + had + participio del verbo principal.

Ejemplo 1: I had gone out when she came . Yo había salido cuando ella vino.

Ejemplo 2: She had studied before the exam. Ella había estudiado antes del examen.

Ejemplo 3. It had rained a lot in the winter .Había llovido mucho durante el invierno. 

El "Past Perfect" es un tiempo utilizado para narrar. En este caso va acompañado del "Past Tense", unidos por "when" (cuando). Ejemplo: I had (already) eaten (Past Perfect) my lunch when I saw (Past Tense) the restaurant.(Yo había (ya) comido cuando vi el restaurante.)

El verbo "had" no significa en este caso "tuve" sino "había". "Had" en el Past Perfect es un verbo auxiliar y siempre debe ir acompañado de un verbo principal.

Estructura preguntas: Had + sujeto + verbo principal en "past participle" +?

Ejemplo: Had she worked?  ¿Había trabajado ella ?

Estructura negación: Sujeto + had + not + verbo principal en "past participle"

Ejemplo: She had not (She hadn´t)worked . Ella no había trabajado.
